100th Day Celebration

What a great day! We started off with 100 day Centers that consisted of making crowns, 100 piece fruit loop necklaces(which we nibbled on throughout the day!), Searched for 100 objects and hid the number 100 in a picture. After lunch we went on a hunt for 100 Hershey kisses with numbers hiding under them. We read each number and placed it on our Hundreds Grid. The only number we are missing is 27. Let us know if you see it!  Hmmmmm.... I wonder how many days it will take us to eat our way through the numbers?
During writing centers we wrote about what we would look like in 100 years and made self-portraits!

We will continue the week celebrating the number 100.
In Poetry-One Hundred poem
In Art centers we will see what 100 drops of paint looks like
In Science we will guess what 100 drops of water looks like in a jar and see how close we got.
In Math we are measuring our foot using cotton balls, pennies, cubes and a ruler.
We are also working with a partner to find different ways to sort 100 objects.
In ABC center We are making a book of the alphabet and something that starts with that letter.
This week we will do A is for ______ and_______.  B is for______and _________.
Game of the week is, "Find The Bear" This game can be played at home to learn sight words. Write a sight word on the bottom of a dixie cup and line the cups in a row. Ask your child to close their eyes as you hide a small object(we use bears) under one of the cups.
Object of the game is to find the bear, but you have to be able to read the sight word first!
You have a copy of sight words already. If you need another copy please email me.
